Before I went on the pill, I had light flow, no cramps, and sporatic periods. Ever since I went on the pill, I had much heavier flow and cramps. They have gotten increasingly worse over the years.
It wasn't until I fell across a Mayan Abdominal Massage that I've began to feel a little more normal.
The Mayan's believe that if a woman's uterus is like the woman's first brain. If her uterus is out of place (tilted/displaced/tipped) then the woman will be out of whack! And that I have felt and do feel (less so, now) out of whack when it comes to my hormonal times of month.
I also, realized having hormonal treatment for endometriosis (many moons ago) and being on the pill really jacked me up!
I now realize even the food I eat can affect me during this time and overall! Meats have too many hormones in them (I try to eat organic!).
I don't want to overwhelm you with all the knowledge, I've obtained about my own body these last couple of years, but I would highly recommend looking up an Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage practitioner and learn how to take your health into your own hands and minimize (if not get rid of) that ****ing PMS!
Hope this helps!
Loving energy,
G~

Re: Something that is helping me from this ****ing pms
Tue, August 14, 2007 - 7:26 AMI agree with you on the food aspect. ever since, i've cut down on sugary things (which I crave right before) my breasts don't get as swollen, the cramps are minimal and even my energy doesn't feel as depleted. that's weird about the pill, though, b/c it's suppose to be the opposite of heavy periods and cramps. then again women's bodies are so different and that's awesome that this abdominal massage treatment helps you. i'm interested in giving a try myself b/c in my case, every month is different for me.
Thanks for the info! -

Mon, April 14, 2008 - 1:06 AMI find that acupuncture and Reiki help me. And sometimes I take St. John's Wort for the moodiness and tension..
